Before venturing into the beauty world, I worked as a bank relationship manager and was trained in accounting, gaining experience in multinational corporations, government organizations, SMEs, and international companies. However, I grew tired of the routine of month-end reconciliations and decided to explore makeup as a hobby. What started as part-time work soon grew into a fully-booked business, leading me to leave my full-time accounting job and pursue makeup artistry full time.
Within less than two years, I began training other makeup artists and opened my first studio in Tanjong Pagar. My team expanded to over 10 talented makeup artists. In the same year, I also launched a bridal shop that quickly became a booming success! Throughout all this, I continued offering courses and providing eyebrow embroidery services to my clients.
After nearly 3 years, I made the decision to close the bridal shop due to space limitations and the expiration of the lease. It was a blessing, as I was able to close before the pandemic hit.
With a forward-thinking mindset, I then founded L’eaine Skincare, which experienced incredible growth in its early years. Later, I also delved into property investment, slowing down my pace to focus on new opportunities.
Looking back, my journey in the beauty industry has been nothing short of a drama-filled adventure. Many have wondered how I manage to master so many things at once, but I believe that when you dedicate your time and energy to what you truly love—without distractions—you can accomplish anything.
July 2012: Began my journey as a part-time makeup artist.
June 2014: Took the leap to full-time entrepreneurship by founding Mrs. Fish Bridal (known as Mrs. Fish Bridal Makeup and Hair) as a sole proprietor.
December 2014: Opened the first makeup and brow studio in Tanjong Pagar, offering makeup services, workshops, and semi-permanent makeup services.
2015: Launched 1728 Wedding House Pte. Ltd., providing gown rental services to brides.
2018: Made the decision to close 1728 Wedding House Pte. Ltd.
2019: Founded L’eaine Skincare, managed under Mrs. Fish Bridal, to offer premium skincare solutions.
2021: Officially registered L’eaine Pte. Ltd. to further expand and grow the brand.
2022: Established BBDG Pte. Ltd. to venture into property investment opportunities.
2024: Rebranded Brow Story Singapore (IG: browstory_sg) to highlight expert brow embroidery under Elaine Beauty Academy. Also launched another IG: familymakeup_sg to showcase makeup services for all occasions.
2025: Rebranded Mrs. Fish Bridal to Elaine Beauty Studio (registered as Elaine Beauty Studio) to reflect the evolution of the brand.
